Well it's been too long since my last Blog entry. It's over a week now since I found out about my new job ad quite frankly I am a lot more optimistic. I had spoken to a few people about the school and to be honest they were just slating it. That left me wondering whether I was doing the right thing. Then last weekend I spent some time with some old friends and had a great time and mamanged to talk to them about moving schools (several of them are teachers). Then on Monday it was hinted at that the job I currently have could disappear altogether. Its all change so perhaps I made the right choice - scary as it is.  Posted by Hello

Our recent School trip to Killington (That might even be me) Posted by Hello

Chapter 5

Well Hello. This is my first attempt at blogging so you will have to excuse me if I am a bit slow. You might wonder why today has been the starting point. Well I guess it has been a busy week. For a start, I turned 30 this week. Scary for even the sanest of people. I survived of course and thankfully nothing fell off. How did I spend the day well at work of course. Now I am all for forcing the government to give us a Birthday Bonus which entitles you to the day off. However, I am not sure Tony (who must be as happy as Larry after winning the election again) will oblige.
So work it was. Not a particulalry eventful day and came home to open my pressies and cards. Then went out for a meal with JP. She is a good friend of mine and it was nice to go over to Stoke By Nayland for a meal. There were a lot of the cardigan brigade there but the meal was nice. I was a little worried as myself and JP last ate together whilst skiing in France and there was a little friction some meal times. But it was back to life as normal and not a cutting comment from either of us. This is despite being seated next to the Adam's family.
Real birthday celebrations start this weekend. Friday night is with work mates and saturday with old uni friends. Should be a good if not slightly hungover weekend.
I have to admit I will also be celebrating something else too. Namely getting a new job today. Now that might sound good but I am crap at moving schools so I was suprised I went and applied let alone got offered the job. I was even more shocked when I accepted it. So it's goodbye old school and hello new. Have to phone my boss in a minute and let her know. She admittedly wished me good luck through gritted teeth yesterday so I am not sure she is going to be too chuffed at losing her assistant. Oh well better not delay it too much longer. Where's her number?

Well she was very nice and said I deserved it so that was pretty cool. just have to tell my other bosses tomorrow!!! That is going to be interesting...

Also on a geeky side (and I can hardly bring myself to type it) the new xbox will be anounced today. For those not in the know its called the xbox360. An MTV special airs stateside today and tomorrow here in the UK. I am now a ardent fan of xbox and xbox live. Never used to be but suddenly started and now I am hooked. So am sadly excited to here news of the next gen machine. I know it is terribly sad (I wonder if there is a cure)

Anyhow, enough of my witterings for the first entry into my blog. How was it for you? Perhaps best not answer that...

More soon I am sure.

See you another day
